2.3. Languages used

Most posters to the newsgroup use English, but this is not compulsory. Nowadays more and more people are posting in Japanese codes. Rōmaji (romanized Japanese) is acceptable, but if you want to post Japanese codes, to reach the maximum audience, it is recommended to use the iso-2022-jp (escape code) form, not shift-JIS (see 14.1.2. What is Shift-JIS? ), EUC (see 14.1.3. What is EUC? ), or UTF-8 (see 14.2.1. What is UTF-8? ).
