12.4.1. Spelling
The FAQ uses British spelling, conventions and vocabulary such as
"maths", "colour", "centimetre", because the maintainer is British. In
an effort to be as international as possible, I am using the "z" forms
of "-ize" words like "romanize", which are considered acceptable in
both British and American English, for example this is the standard of
Oxford University Press.
