A friend of mine bought it and I skimmed through it. It seemed pretty good. The dialogues were natural and they had decent comparisons of Kansai Japanese vs. Kanto Japanese.

It would be useful to help you understand the people around you if you live in Kansai, but you'd have to have a pretty darn good level of Japanese already to use the phrases they offer without sounding like a fool.
