Circumflex
A circumflex is a hat over a character. In Nippon-shiki and Kunrei-shiki romanization, circumflexes are used to indicate long vowels. For example, ô and û indicate double o and double u vowels.
The equivalent of the macron in the Hepburn romanization is the macron.
