Kaisho

Kaisho (楷書) is a style of Chinese calligraphy characterized by block lettering. Each line of the kanji or kana is made by one stroke of the brush.

Kaisho is the most readable of the calligraphy styles and the one which is studied by Japanese elementary school students.

Kaisho is the basis of the Minchō and related typefaces.
