The particle
o, usually written with the kana
wo (を), and sometimes pronounced wo, indicates the direct object of a verb. It also
indicates the subject of a causative
expression
indicates an area traversed
:Kōen o sanpo shita "We walked through the park".
indicates a time (period) over which action takes place
indicates point of departure/separation of action
(see particle ga
) indicates object of desire, like, hate etc.
:kimi o suki de yokatta "I'm glad I love you"
is used in forming various expressions that use suru
is used with a noun that has the meaning of a verb in various sayings
The difference depends on the verb used.
