Tanaka Corpus

The Tanaka Corpus is a collection of Japanese/English sentence pairs compiled by Professor Yasuhito Tanaka and his students at Hyogo University, It is in the public domain and is used by WWWJDIC as a source of example sentences.

The sentences used by WWWJDIC have been indexed on Japanese keywords and have been much edited to correct mistakes, remove duplicates and such (although much such work remains to be done). The WWWJDIC example sentences also include some that aren't from the Tanaka Corpus but have been added since.
