Well-known author of Mastering Regular Expressions, Jeffrey is also familiar to {{slj}} readers as the creator of Jeffrey's online dictionary.

W. Michael Rollins, AKA Denbushi (電武士)

A keen martial artist and professional web page designer. "Denbushi" means "electronic warrior". He now keeps a blog in both English and Japanese, at the above link.

Charles Eicher (see also http://member.newsguy.com/~sakusha/, http://soli.inav.net/~ceicher/)

Charles no longer posts to the newsgroup, but he keeps a blog (the first link in the above list). Charles left the group in 2004, and he gives his reasons for doing so in this entry in his blog.

Ken Lunde

Ken is famous as the author of the books Understanding Japanese Information Processing, also known as UJIP, and CJKV Information Processing.

Tanaka, Tomoyuki, [http://www.geocities.jp/tanaka_usa/PCracismGeisha.htm]

A famously controversial poster, (some would say troll), Mr Tanaka was even mentioned in previous versions of this FAQ because of his "frequently argued questions". He also contributed the entry I love you to the {{sljfaq}}. The above link contains Mr Tanaka's FAQs for his newsgroup {{news|alt.tanaka-tomoyuki}}. ;Maiko Covington:Maiko was famous for her posts on her schooldays in Japan. She now maintains a blog as seen on the above website.

Earl Kinmonth

Notoriously karakuchi (dry) sociology professor and former organizer of the KUSO (Kanji User's Service) archive at Sheffield University.

Benjamin Barrett

A translator from Seattle, he is now often found on the Honyaku mailing list. He has also contributed many useful entries to the jeKai dictionary.

Ross Klatte

A talented musician and lyricist who often posted translation requests on the newsgroup. Unfortunately he no longer maintains his web pages.

James Marshall (Jim) Unger

James Marshall (Jim) Unger was a regular in the old days.

Fabian Van de l'Isle

Fabian (also known as Rhialto) maintained a now-defunct FAQ about using Japanese on Western Microsoft Windows.

Peter Payne

Now runs "jlist", a mail order company for things from Japan. Peter Payne also has some pages on learning Japanese.
