;Goo dictionary:Goo's dictionary contains the EXCEED English to Japanese and Japanese to English dictionaries, as well as the Japanese to Japanese Daijirin and Shingojiten (new word) dictionaries. The interface is in Japanese.

Edict-based dictionaries

These dictionaries are all based on the information in Jim Breen's Edict dictionary.

;WWWJDIC:Jim Breen's original site. Allows submission of new Edict entries. ;Jeffrey's online dictionary :Jeffrey's online dictionary is an interface to Jim Breen's dictionaries using an interface designed by Jeffrey Friedl. It features "vague" searching patterns which can match both long and short vowels, and because it can also create Japanese character graphics, it can be used by people without Japanese capable browsers.

Popup-window browsers

These pages help you to read web sites which are written in Japanese. You enter a URL or some text, and they make a page which pops up windows in your browser which show the meaning of the words as you move the mouse over them. ;Popjisho ;Rikai:The original popup dictionary, but '''be warned''' that this first throws out buckets of adverts, then complains you are using too much of its bandwidth, and fails to serve your original request.
