A Dictionary of Intermediate Japanese Grammar

I find it an excellent reference book. It gives many grammatical structures commonly used in intermediate text. After each item, eg. wazato, many example sentences are given to illustrate its use. Kana/kanji, as well as Romaji are used for the example sentences. People taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2 and even 1 will find it a useful reference. I hope the authors produce an advanced version of this book too in the future.

Strategies for reading Japanese

I found that an excellent book for its very analytical way of dissecting long and wordy Japanese sentences into its components. The example sentences chosen as one progresses in the book, are, however, quite abstract. Beginners may, therefore find it daunting at that point. But overall an excellent book.
