Review by Mark Walsh

This is the continuation of DBJG, and covers intermediate grammar. The main entry examples are in kanji, and English only. No romanji. In addition to the main reference there is a section on conversation.

I find it an excellent reference book. It gives many grammatical structures commonly used in intermediate text. After each item, eg. wazato, many example sentences are given to illustrate its use. Kana/kanji, as well as Romaji are used for the example sentences. People taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2 and even 1 will find it a useful reference. I hope the authors produce an advanced version of this book too in the future.
