If Japanese writing is complicated (see Writing) then Japanese names and their writing are even more complicated. Even the correct way to say 'I' and 'you' is fraught (see What are the personal pronouns of Japanese?). Reading a Japanese name can sometimes be impossible (see How can I read a Japanese name?).
